Congo Mission

Did you know that the United Methodist Church has a strong and expanding mission and ministry in the Dominican Republic of the Congo.

The area benefits from our “nothing but net anti-malaria campaign.”

The Bishop of the area oversees centers for abandoned children, agriculture training farms, 400 schools and a missionary flight service.  The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is involved in many other projects in the Congo as well.  Recently Arkansas Tech Wesley Foundation contributed the construction of a Wesley Foundation in the Congo.  Currently their Congolese students go to Philander Smith College on scholarships.

Be proud of the many lives we touch around the globe from the United Methodist Church.
